Overview
Bang Bang Studios is a multimedia production studio telling human-focused, movement-inspired stories. They specialize in outdoor shoots for top bicycle and outdoor gear brands and needed a revamped portfolio website to better showcase their work and attract new clients. As the sole designer, I managed the project through my independent studio, enhancing the site’s user experience and visual appeal while integrating a user-friendly CMS.
My role
I lead the charge on creative direction, design, and site build for Bang Bang Studios' website. I worked hand-in-hand with the co-founders, giving the site a fresh, modern look using their signature brand yellow and cool handwritten touches all while letting the work take center stage. I made sure the WordPress CMS would be a breeze for them to manage and update. No small feat when video is involved!
Human focused, movement inspired stories.
Challenge
Video-centric CMS projects are always a tough nut to crack. We built a lean, fast and affordable WordPress site and was super easy to manage. The goal was to elevate the brand, make it cleaner and more contemporary while keeping it fun with elements like handwritten type cursors and a custom intro animation. We pushed the Semplice theme to its limits to get a site that’s not just functional but incorporated motion, handwritten cursors and full-width video backgrounds.
Solution
The new website gave Bang Bang Studios a major online facelift. The agency's work is shining a little brighter now and the site has a modern look, an intuitive navigation, and killer full-width video integration that makes the content really pop. Plus, the easy-to-use CMS means the team can keep everything fresh without any hassle. The new site perfectly captures the energy and spirit of their outdoor-focused work.
